GameStop employees have cast the game retailer’s new ‘Circle of Life’ program into question. Basically, the program sets quotas for various categories of sales: Pre-orders, reward card subscriptions, used game sales and game trade-ins. The priority, for obvious reasons, is placed on the most lucrative transactions like subscriptions and used games. Disgruntled GameStop employees claim that the store chain is so strict about these quotas that employees have taken to lying to customers about new inventory, steering them clear of making purchases at all rather than disrupt the percentage of used sales required by the quota.
Both Microsoft and Sony have better options then being cheating at the retailer.
